GABRIELLE THOMASSIAN

I am sure many of you have already heard of Gabrielle Thomassian and if you haven't already, we are delighted to introduce this talented artist again. Gabrielle Thomassian joined the frenchologie's team last winter and with her background in fine art provides her with a strong conceptual approach to design and shown an instinctive awareness for ceramic. She is able to translate concepts through different clay bodies in functional, refined design.

Fascinated by industrial and product design and how people interact with the designed world. Gabrielle is developing a collection of narrative work. Inspired by her environment, her observations on society's issues and desires and her own personal style of design, the collection focuses on the individual needs of the consumer and the world in which they inhabit. Gabrielle's passion to question and satisfy the frivolous desires of individual consumers in well thought-out design enables pieces of functional art in the everyday of our lives. Below are some of her inspirations and designs:

Angel Medaillon Bone China/ Porcelain
These ceramic rings are made from Bone China by hand and finished by hand, glazed and lustred in part. Do not include the string or chain. These pieces are high fired, around 1260º, and that makes them very strong. The gold Lustre is definitely set with a 700º firing. The high firing gives the pieces waterproof qualities.

Tips: These piece are precious. They can't be scratched, and are resistant from small impacts. They may break in case they fall.

Ring Bone China
Cleaning: The rings and the medallions can be cleaned with a soft brush with water and soap. Then to be dry with a clean white non fluffy cloth. They can also be cleaned with a soft brush and sparkling water.
