Marlene Huissoud's work caught our eyes at the Degree Show from Central Saint Martin's (Textiles Futures). As we really love her work we wanted to know more about it.
Coming from a beekeepers Marlene has always been interesed in the potential of insects for innovative future materials and design outputs. During a year she invistaged about insects world and came out with two great materials: Propolis and wooden leather.
As a result, she made a collection of 6 vessels made out of Propolis using different glass techniques and a collection of objects: a silk cabinet and a leather light.
